Microchip Technology Sr. Analyst-Logistics in Chandler, Arizona


This position involves, the overseeing of shipments, both domestic and international using the internal MCHP Shipping authorization tool. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating with Freight Forwarders, couriers, customs, vendors and internal departments. In addition, the applicant will maintain the shipping Authorization database, debug issues, training, and work to continually improve the process


  • Establish strong relationships with freight forwarders/couriers and customs brokers

  • Assist other team members as required

  • Supply relevant reports to management as required

  • Monitor KPI’s for third party logistics provider and highlighting any poor performance to management.

  • Work with management to review, plan and suggest areas of improvement within MCHP to reduce cost and improve service

  • Maintain all documented functional processes and keep documentation up to date

  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time

  • Export control understanding (Dual Use, ECCN, HTS, Export Licensing, EAR)

  • Experience of AX 2012 and Baan or a similar ERP system is an asset


  • 3 years of experience in a similar role of handling domestic and international shipments

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Power Point)

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a good eye for detail.

  • Able to communicate effectively and confidently with both internal & external clients and suppliers

  • Must be self-motivated and a good team player

  • Must demonstrate good time management and prioritization skills

  • Is able to work well in a time-sensitive environment

  • Willingness to take on colleagues’ tasks when the need arises, and to provide cover during periods of absence

  • A flexible approach to working hours
