Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

The WFCC Originations Analytics team supports WFCC commercial operations by providing best-in-class analytics and business intelligence solutions to promote sales force excellence.

Role and responsibilities include:

  • Create and/or facilitate the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc. that enable analysis, modeling, and/or advanced data visualization.

  • Create models as needed to aid in market sizing, market segmentation, and market identification among other activities.

  • Work with business partners to promote buy-in of tools and models developed. Create and maintains tools to track success of implementations.

  • Recommend potential data sources; compile and mine data from multiple, cross business sources. Data is typically large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources.

  • Develop specific, customized reports, ad hoc analyses and/or data visualizations.

  • Work with senior consultants or directly with partners, responsible for identifying and defining business requirements and translating business needs into moderately complex analyses and recommendations.

  • Ensuring adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies.

  • Applying knowledge of business, customers, and/or products/services/portfolios to synthesize data to 'form a story' and align information to contrast/compare to industry perspective. Create presentations and deliver directly to internal customers.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • 7+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

  • Experience with Qlikview, Qlik Sense, or Qlik NPrinting

  • Knowledge and understanding of Tableau

  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Objects

  • 6+ years of commercial banking experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Salesforce

  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience

  • Ability to provide leadership to a virtual or remote team

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Collaborative, team-focused attitude

  • 6+ years of experience in Customer/ Marketing / Sales Analytics

  • Experience in working with the Wholesale Data Mart (WDM) and general knowledge of WFCC systems

  • Ability to perform regression analysis as well as other statistical and performance analytics in SAS, R, Python or similar tools

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
