AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah Director of Commercial Sales in A3 Smart Home - Tempe, Arizona

This position is responsible for driving top line sales revenue to meet company goals and objectives. To develop a professional sales team that matches the AAA brand and member experience expectations. Create sales and vertical market initiatives and then monitor and execute the plan. Position is responsible for revenue generation for all Commercial departments. Position will create, develop and maintain key accounts in order to maximize opportunities for revenue.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Prospecting and opening doors for and with the salespeople within our target markets.

  • Teach and work with sales reps on how to prospect, set appointments, and close business.

  • Manage sales team through activity based management.

  • Review and uncover business opportunities within target markets

  • Instructing on how to overcome sales objections

  • Out in the field working with the sales team, leading by example

  • Build and develop a department culture through hiring, leading, coaching and training.

  • Develop and grow best in class sales team and maximize their revenue production.

  • Business develop through creating partnerships.

Monitor dash board information for Key Performance Indicators ( KPI’s)

  • Revenue proposed by salesperson, by revenue category

  • Develop sales and market strategies.

  • Review and negotiate subcontractor or customer legal agreements. Coordinate with AAA in-house legal team for adds, changes and deletions

  • Budget/Plan Forecast and P&L Management (marketing and sales budget)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Leadership – Experience recruiting, building, training and inspiring a professional sales team

  • Development of 1-2 year sales/marketing strategy and business plans

  • Sales Management experience running a sales team (preferred)

  • Familiar with developing sales compensation plans that drive sales to meet corporate goals and objectives

  • Departmental Budget and P&L Management (desired)

  • Computer proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite (required)

  • Ability to call on executive level prospects, develop partnerships and close business

  • 4 years of outside sales experience (preferred)

  • 3 years of sales management experience

  • Industry Experience – familiar with commercial fire alarm, security, CCTV, Access Control and Guard/Patrol (preferred)

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Ability to develop, present and clearly communicate monthly reports and sales initiatives.

  • Must be familiar with developing excel or Google Sheet tracking metrics and formulas

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Contract negotiation skills

  • Highly organized and ability to self-manage timelines of all projects, sales initiatives and team deliverables

  • College Degree

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervision of (8) commercial sales rep

  • Monitor daily sales activities and results through established sales metrics

  • Prepare for weekly sales meeting and individual one on one development meeting
